There’s no doubt that scams and Internet fraud is on the increase. We are continually hearing stories on the news almost every week of people who have lost a lot of money to scammers and cyber criminals. Often these fraudsters will target the more vulnerable and therefore we hear regularly of the older people in our community who have become victims.

Of course it’s not only the older people in society who become victims, we can all fall foul of the increasingly devious and cunning methods used by the scammers. A quick Google search throws up stories of banking scams, holiday scams, even dating site scams and much more. And this is not only happening online, scams can come in the form of phone calls or through social media sites.
MCC Computers Ballymena realise we cannot change the world, however we realise that it is equally important for people to have somewhere to turn to for peace of mind when they may have had their computer attacked online or even think they may have had their system compromised following a suspicious phone call. It is better to be safe than sorry. We have a dedicated, caring team here to help advise and where necessary put in place appropriate steps to resolve any issues, possible threats and provide online security.
If you have any queries about scamming, Internet fraud or the Internet security on your devices please get in touch either by calling into our Galgorm premises or phoning 028 2563 8888 and ask for Anne or Gordon.
Please ask us about our annual Internet Security package which has been especially designed to provide security online and includes an annual service. And remember, at all times, we are always at the end of the phone.
